Advice &
Support Resources

Making the decision to release your beloved pet from their pain is a difficult one.
Do not hesitate to reach out for advice and support to help you at whatever stage you need it.

Quality of Life

The decision to euthanase is always hard and a very personal journey.

Sometimes it is obvious that your pet is experiencing a level of pain that can’t be controlled, or they have a terminal illness.

Often it is more subtle, and you might need help by speaking to your regular vet, or some close family or friends for a more objective view.

Quality of Life checklists are another option to consider. They can provide further thoughts for consideration, or health aspects to monitor. However, the outcomes of these checklists should be seen as only part of the bigger picture. A good score means nothing if you can’t get your pet to eat, or their mobility is so impaired that they can’t walk anymore.
